Rise to Fame
When she was 5 and a half, she starred in a Christmas play meant for 10 year olds. She was brilliant. Her drama teacher signed her up to Ilkley Upstagers' Drama Club, where she starred as a Little Morris Dancer in 2003 and the Loud Growling Monster in Monster Mash in 2004.
In April 2003, the casting director of Narnia visited her drama group, where a number of the younger girls were questioned and interviewed. When Georgie was asked what book she was reading, she said she was reading The Bed and Breakfast Star by Jacqueline Wilson. She was also asked who she would eat first if her and her family were stuck on a desert island. She said she would eat her sister. And then she went into great detail of how!!!
Georgie later got a call beckoning her down to the Tabernacle in Nottinghill, London in July. Unfortunately, Georgie's parents almost pulled Georgie out of the auditions. The director, Andrew Adamson, had to have dinner with them to persuade them. Not long afterwards, Georgie was cast as Lucy Pevensie.
On the 20th of May 2004, Georgie participated in the Wharfedale Festival of Performing Arts, where she did a vocal solo (up to age 9) and came in 2nd place. It was held at the Riddings Hall. at 2.00pm. She also did a memorised prose (to 8 years) Section A.
In June 28th 2004, the first day of filming in New Zealand began. They filmed the evacuation scenes at the station. On the 12th July 2004 she met the Prime Minister of New Zealand whilst filming a cricket scene.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was released on the 10th of December 2005.
